The Young Empowered Parents (YEP) program contributes to positive beginnings for young parents up to the age of 25.


  • ‘Keeping Me’ Module
    Sessions focus on enabling participants to recognise and acknowledge their skills and potential.

  • ‘Keeping Baby’ Module
    Sessions focus on developing parenting skills and knowledge, including an understanding of child development milestones. Included in this module is Circle of Security training, which focuses on secure parent/child attachment.

  • ‘Keeping Home’ Module
    Sessions focus on developing the practical skills and abilities necessary to ensure a safe and healthy home environment for the family. This includes cooking, nutrition and budgeting skills.

  • ‘Yimba Yaddabah’ Sessions

    Yimba Yaddabah forms part of the YEP program and sessions have been developed specifically for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander parents/carers as a soft-entry to the YEP program. The sessions focus on reconnecting young parents/carers with their culture.

All participants who successfully complete the YEP program will receive a certificate of completion.
